METALLICA, KID ROCK, PAPA ROACH, Others Pay Tribute To AEROSMITH

METALLICA's James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, and Kirk Hammett were on hand at yesterday's taping of the MTV Icon episode dedicated to AEROSMITH, which took place in Los Angeles. Appearing for the first time in public since since James Hetfield's exit from rehab, the three members of the group to show their appreciation of the group and to give testimonials on what AEROSMITH has meant to them as a band and as people. The show also included testimonials and performances from other people that AEROSMITH inspired, such as KID ROCK, PINK, PAPA ROACH, SHAKIRA and more. Other celebrities on hand included Fred Durst, Pamela Anderson, Slash, David Spade, and Christina Applegate. Airdate for the show is Wednesday, April 17th at 9:00 PM EST/PST, 8:00 PM CT.
